Architectural Record highlights the Ross Barney Architects' design of the NASA Aerospace Communications Facility. The facility plays a critical role in communication technology research to support a sustained human presence on the moon. The project successfully integrates a complex program and delivers a LEED Gold, Net Zero Energy Ready building.

3 2024 CWA Award

Carol Ross Barney Recognized as 2024 Chicago Women in Architecture Lifetime Achievement Awardee

“In January 1974, the time was right and Chicago Women in Architecture turned out to be a dynamic group. They’re still in existence today, which is really remarkable when you think about it, that it’s going for that long.” Wrote Carol when reflecting on founding Chicago Women in Architecture 50 years ago! 

Recognizing Carol's impressive career, the Chicago Women in Architecture Foundation presents the Lifetime Achievement Award to outstanding women who have made significant contributions as members of Chicago Women in Architecture and have advocated for women architects' issues. 

Later this summer, Carol will deliver a lecture and receive this honor at the Opening Reception to CWA’s 50th Anniversary Exhibit at the CAC. Annie and Lena are collaborating on the exhibit with the CWA and CAC.
