McHenry County College Selects Ross Barney Architects

Ross Barney Architects has been selected to design a new Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation at McHenry County College.

The Crystal Lake-based college aspires for the new building to be “an epicenter for community entrepreneurial engagement, emerging workforce inspiration, and economically meaningful teaching/training.”

The curriculum and spaces to support it will combine “old and new skills focused on career-building education such as welding, construction management, heating and cooling systems, industrial maintenance, engineering technology, artificial intelligence, metallurgy, and metrology.”

This project marks a continued collaboration between Ross Barney Architects and the Capital Development Board; Illinois’ manager of building and capital improvement programs.
