Ross Bar­ney Archi­tects has been announced as a FINAL­IST in AIA Chicago’s 2024 Design Excel­lence Awards, Archi­tec­ture Medi­um cat­e­go­ry.

Rai­l­yard Park is locat­ed in Rogers, Arkansas, a city that has been defined both eco­nom­i­cal­ly and phys­i­cal­ly by the rail­road that cre­at­ed a strong divid­ing line in the cen­ter of down­town. The park’s design ignores the rail as a bar­ri­er and blends the east and west togeth­er, span­ning both sides of the exist­ing rail­road tracks. Fea­tur­ing a large lin­ear com­mu­ni­ty plaza, water park, play­ground, per­for­mance stage, flex­i­ble event space, and a Farm­ers Mar­ket build­ing, Rai­l­yard Park is a con­nec­tion between busi­ness and recre­ation.
