Eric Martin, AIA

Principal

Biography

Eric is a licensed Architect in the State of Illinois.  He brings to the studio both his technical/computer capabilities and an attention to detail.  He has been responsible for the planning, design and production of building documents for various project typologies and sizes.

Having provided construction administration for several of the studio’s major projects, Eric is involved in every process from proposal to realization.  With an undying commitment to the built environment, he believes that the interaction between a user and a building is a relationship that must be reinforced at every stage of the design process. The research of materiality and assembling of pieces into an inhabitable structure provide Eric with an enjoyable challenge.  His command and organization of complex projects accompanied by an innate optimism makes him an ideal collaborator and colleague.

In his spare time, Eric enjoys a nice glass of Scotch and watching his favorite classic movies, such as “The Day the Earth Stood Still” or “Double Indemnity”.
