Krista Simons Gliva and Ryan Giblin have been elevated to Principals.
“As dedicated leaders of our collaborative studio, Ryan and Krista have invested themselves in our work and vision for leaving the world a better place. I’m looking forward to the future of our firm with their leadership” said Carol Ross Barney, FAIA, Hon. ASLA, Design Principal and Founder.
Ryan and Krista join Principals Eric Martin, AIA (Principal) and Laura Saviano (Marketing Principal).
Krista’s experience in all phases of the design and construction process, along with her versatility working in many project roles has made her an invaluable asset. Her intrinsic optimism coupled with her technical skills and natural ability to decipher and solve complex problems is indispensable. Since joining the studio in 2011 Krista has worked on important hometown projects including the Lincoln Park Zoo Visitor Center, Howard Street Theater, and numerous collaborations with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (her alma-matter) and the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
Ryan joined Ross Barney Architects in 2007. His education and professional work reflect his interest in the design and production of socially responsible architecture; he is committed to the idea that all people should have access to good design. He has been involved in the design, project management, and construction administration of some of the studios most significant projects including the Chicago Riverwalk, Railyard Park in Rogers, Arkansas, McDonald’s Global Flagship at Walt Disney World, and an ongoing collaboration with NASA Glenn.
Please join us in celebrating Ryan and Krista’s achievements and future contributions!
