Krista Simons Gli­va and Ryan Gib­lin have been ele­vat­ed to Principals.

Ryan and Krista join Prin­ci­pals Eric Mar­tin, AIA (Prin­ci­pal) and Lau­ra Saviano (Mar­ket­ing Principal).

Krista’s expe­ri­ence in all phas­es of the design and con­struc­tion process, along with her ver­sa­til­i­ty work­ing in many project roles has made her an invalu­able asset. Her intrin­sic opti­mism cou­pled with her tech­ni­cal skills and nat­ur­al abil­i­ty to deci­pher and solve com­plex prob­lems is indis­pens­able. Since join­ing the stu­dio in 2011 Krista has worked on impor­tant home­town projects includ­ing the Lin­coln Park Zoo Vis­i­tor Cen­ter, Howard Street The­ater, and numer­ous col­lab­o­ra­tions with the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois at Urbana-Cham­paign (her alma-mat­ter) and the Chica­go Tran­sit Author­i­ty (CTA).

Ryan joined Ross Bar­ney Archi­tects in 2007. His edu­ca­tion and pro­fes­sion­al work reflect his inter­est in the design and pro­duc­tion of social­ly respon­si­ble archi­tec­ture; he is com­mit­ted to the idea that all peo­ple should have access to good design. He has been involved in the design, project man­age­ment, and con­struc­tion admin­is­tra­tion of some of the stu­dios most sig­nif­i­cant projects includ­ing the Chica­go River­walk, Rai­l­yard Park in Rogers, Arkansas, McDonald’s Glob­al Flag­ship at Walt Dis­ney World, and an ongo­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion with NASA Glenn.
