Simon Peschong
| Associate AIASimon Peschong is an emerging architect driven by a belief that design is a tool for transformation. Originally from Milwaukee and now based in Chicago, Simon holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University (Ohio) and a master’s degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His past work explores how architecture can create more thoughtful, resilient, and inspiring spaces — not just for today, but for generations to come. A formative period living in Luxembourg deepened his global perspective and continues to shape his sensitivity to cultural and environmental contexts. His design research has even extended beyond Earth, imagining new social and architectural systems for a thriving future on Mars.
Outside of practice, Simon finds inspiration through photography, cooking, and traveling. He’s passionate about discovering new food and restaurants and documenting unique and complex buildings and interiors, usually together! On the weekend, he loves quiet mornings at home with his two cats, spending his summers at the beach on Lake Michigan, and discovering new experiences in Chicago with his friends. As a lifelong maker, Simon also spends time making furniture and building physical models as a way to explore spatial ideas by hand. These personal pursuits feed his design perspective, reminding him that good architecture always begins with lived experience.
