Itzi Velazquez-Becerril
Being born and raised in Mexico afforded Itzi the privilege of experiencing a completely different style of architecture. Cobble streets and stone aqueducts are her first memories of city design forms. Itzi has been practicing architecture in Chicago and uses the city as a laboratory for research and exploration. Her experience ranges from military and residential to corporate interiors. Itzi has a sweet spot for the impact open squares and residential projects have on the communities and individuals they serve.
Outside of architecture Itzi loves biking along Lake Michigan, is ok at volleyball, and enjoys cooking/baking.
