Raised in a Puerto Rican suburban setting, Bryan Cruz López's interest lies at the intersection of architecture and urbanism. After completing his bachelor's in Puerto Rico, he ventured to the US for postgraduate studies, driven by a thirst for international exposure. As a minority, he underscores the significance of diverse perspectives in the design process to ensure inclusivity in creating exceptional spaces for all.

Beyond work, Bryan's intrigue extends to Puerto Rican folkloric genres like plena and bomba. He combined his background and personal interest to create Proyecto Pandero. This research endeavor contributes to preserving the oral heritage of the pandero, the primary instrument in plena music.
