Mordecai Scheckter, AIA, LEED AP

Biography

Mordecai enjoys merging his detail-oriented personality and technical knowledge with the analytical inquisitiveness that stems from his liberal arts background. This drives his success as an architect and ability to acutely understand and develop a client’s vision. He has worked on a wide variety of projects at differing scales that include public housing, a college baseball diamond, a planned community, a riverfront park, and several transit stations.

Mordecai is a LEED accredited professional, and a member of the AIA Chicago 2030 Working Group, an industry leader promoting the documentation of energy use with the goal of carbon neutrality. He maintains an active interest in green building design, practices, and strategies, and even tracks and analyzes his own home’s Energy Use Intensity!

Mordecai enjoys watching science fiction movies, following baseball, and spending time with his dog.
