We are hiring a Studio Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator to join our Chicago team.

Marketing Coordinator
Ross Barney Architects is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join its collaborative team. This position requires an energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and graphically sophisticated individual. Working closely with the Marketing Principal, this position will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Studio’s projects pursuits and digital footprint. The Marketing Coordinator will lead the development of collateral for ongoing and recently completed projects to be used in new business opportunities – including proposals, qualification packages, and presentations. A successful applicant is eager to learn the history of Ross Barney Architects, passionate about storytelling, and looking for a position that has long term growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
– Coordinate proposals and manage submission schedules
– Lead the development of marketing collateral for ongoing and recently completed projects
– Facilitate material creation for lectures, presentations, project interviews, etc.
– Manage project data information database and refine project close-out procedures for marketing archive (written, drawing, and photography assets)
– Support day-to-day marketing efforts (external and internal)
– Manage award submissions
– Manage the studio’s digital media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
– Manage the studio’s website (Craft CMS)
– Develop and identify ways to continuously improve marketing processes, tools, and materials

Desired Skills and Experience
– Required proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and MS Office (Powerpoint, Word, and Excel)
– MA/BA degree in business, design, communications, marketing, journalism, or equivalent.
– Knowledge and familiarity with AEC or adjacent industry is preferred, but not required
– 2+ years of experience in a similar position
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
– A passion for writing and storytelling
– Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
– Strong communication, graphic, content creation, and creativity skills
– Persistent and assertive, but not abrasive
– Involvement in professional societies and community organizations is encouraged

Studio Coordinator
Ross Barney Architects is seeking a full-time Studio Coordinator to support office operations and logistics. Working closely with the Business Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting payroll, billing, and human resource management. The Coordinator will lead and implement the day-to-day experience of the studio, not just for our community, but for our clients and collaborators. Ross Barney Architects creates a culture of continuous learning and the Studio Coordinator will help foster and promote those values.

An ideal candidate is a self-starter excited to work in a fast-paced environment. This position has the potential for flexible work hours. There will be opportunities for leadership and growth within the Studio operations team.

Responsibilities
– Support Business Manager with payroll and billing
– Assist Business Manager with human resources and studio management
– Help manage office re-entry post-pandemic
– Primary tasks include stewardship of our work home, ushering visitors, coordinating telephone inquiries, assisting with property manager relationship, and maintaining office supplies.
– Spearhead studio culture events (coordinate, plan, partner with thought leaders)
– Promote studio values with staff, clients, and collaborators through day-to-day interactions and special events

Desired Skills and Experience
– Required proficiency in MS Office (Powerpoint, Word, and Excel). Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is a plus
– Knowledge and familiarity with Deltek Vision or similar project accounting software
– Experience with Accounting (Associate or Bachelor degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management – or similar is a plus, but not required)
– Prior experience with AEC or adjacent industry is a plus, but not required
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong communication skills
– Affinity for Architecture and Design
– Involvement in professional societies and community organizations is encouraged
